Fish Fillet with Mediterranean Sauce

A delicious and healthy meal with a Mediterranean flair; a light and juicy fish with a touch of citrus.



  • 1½ lb. tilapia fillet

  • Peels and juice of 2 lemons

  • 6 garlic cloves, peeled and smashed

  • Black pepper to taste

  • Salt to taste

  • 4 garlic cloves with peel

  • Olive oil to taste

Mediterranean Sauce  

  • 3 tbsp fresh parsley

  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tsp honey

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • Dash of ground ginger

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper to taste

  • Olive oil


Preheat oven to 450°F.

Season fish fillets with juice from two lemons, freshly ground lemon peel, garlic, black pepper and salt. Make sure to apply it all on both sides.

Place seasoned fillets in a Pyrex dish and sprinkle abundantly with olive oil. Lightly smash the garlic cloves with peel, then place around fish fillets. Bake in preheated oven for about 25 minutes.

In the meantime, prepare the Mediterranean Sauce: combine all the ingredients and mix well.

Once fish is ready, place sauce on top and serve.
