Nanda's Coconut Oatmeal

  • 1 Cup 2% Organic Milk 

  • 1/2 Cup Organic Steel Cut Oats 

  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon  

  • 1 Tsp Ground Cloves 

  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract  

  • 6 Tbsp Brown Sugar (if you like it sweet)  

  • 1 Cup Unsweetened Organic Coconut Flakes

  • 1 can Organic Coconut Milk

  • Dash of Salt 

  • Strawberries or fruit of choice

  • Walnuts or nuts of choice  


Pour milk in pot with spices (ground cinnamon, ground cloves and vanilla extract) on low/medium heat. Let it come to a boil.

Add oatmeal. Lower temperature. Let it cook slowly.

Mix in sugar and salt, moistening it with some coconut milk little by little.

Add the coconut flakes.

Finish with some more coconut milk if necessary to reach desired moisture. 

Top with fruit and nuts of choice.
